Dive Center in Skarnsundet, Norway
Stay, dive and prepare your equipment in one place
Bare Dykk is a complete dive center in Småvika, beside Skarnsundet in central Norway. We have built the center around multi-day diving — accommodation, equipment preparation, drying facilities, gas filling and boat operations are all located together, so you spend less time on logistics and more time diving. We welcome recreational divers, technical teams, dive clubs and small groups looking for a structured diving experience in one of Norway's most distinctive fjord environments.

Facilities designed for divers
A successful dive trip depends on what happens between the dives as much as underwater. Assemble and check equipment, rinse it after use, and leave it to dry in a dedicated room with ventilation and dehumidification.
- Equipment benches and preparation areas
- Outdoor rinse facilities
- Indoor washing facilities for winter use
- Drying space for drysuits, undergarments and gear
- Charging points for diving and camera equipment
- A workbench for minor adjustments and maintenance
- Direct access to the filling station
Please bring the chargers, adapters and specialist tools required for your own equipment.
Boat diving in Skarnsundet
Our boat provides access to dive sites throughout Skarnsundet and the surrounding fjord system. The area is influenced by strong tidal movement, so dive sites and departure times are selected according to:
- Tide and current
- Weather and surface conditions
- The experience of the group
- Planned depth and runtime
- Gas and decompression requirements
- The objective of the dive
We do not promise a specific site before conditions have been assessed. Where possible, we select alternatives that provide the best combination of experience and suitable conditions. Boat capacity depends on equipment configuration and the type of diving.
Gas filling and technical support
Gas filling is available at the dive center for both recreational and technical diving. Available gases include air, nitrox, oxygen and helium-based mixtures by prior agreement.
Technical and rebreather teams should submit their planned cylinder configurations and expected gas requirements before arrival. Helium, oxygen, sorbent and specialist gases are charged separately unless expressly included in the booking.
Recreational diving
You do not need to be a technical diver to experience Skarnsundet. Selected sites offer walls, marine life and coral habitats within recreational depth ranges. Divers with limited drysuit or tidal experience may begin with a sheltered orientation dive.
Technical & rebreather
For appropriately trained teams: deeper walls, current-exposed terrain and cold-water coral below recreational limits. We support open-circuit, decompression, trimix, CCR, stage/bailout logistics, DPV and multi-day programs — always within certification and the agreed plan.
Courses & guided diving
Training through CMAS and TDI, from entry level to technical. Course days and experience dives are planned separately to keep the program realistic. An in-water guide is not automatically included unless stated in the quotation.
