Diving Equipment Rental in Norway

Travel with less equipment – without compromising the dive plan

Bare Dykk provides recreational and technical diving equipment from our dive center in Skarnsundet. You can rent a complete cold-water setup or reserve individual items to supplement your own equipment. All rental equipment is subject to availability and must be booked before arrival.

Recreational equipment

Available equipment may include:

  • Drysuits
  • Undergarments
  • Dry-glove systems
  • Cold-water regulator sets
  • Wings and BCDs
  • Single cylinders
  • Weights and weight belts
  • Masks and fins
  • Hoods and gloves
  • Dive lights
  • DSMBs and reels

The exact brand and configuration may vary.

Technical equipment

For appropriately certified technical divers:

  • Twinsets
  • Stage cylinders
  • S80 decompression cylinders
  • Technical regulator sets
  • Wings and backplates
  • Additional lights
  • DPVs
  • Selected bailout equipment
  • Oxygen-clean equipment where available

Technical equipment is only rented to divers with suitable certification and experience.

Rebreather equipment

Limited JJ-CCR equipment and complete units may be available by special agreement. Complete-unit rental requires:

  • Valid JJ-CCR certification
  • Documented recent experience
  • Configuration approval
  • A pre-dive checkout
  • Agreement on bailout and gas logistics
  • Acceptance of separate rental conditions

Oxygen, diluent, bailout gas and sorbent are priced separately unless included in the quotation.

DPV rental

DPVs are available for trained or suitably experienced divers. Normal rental starts from NOK 500 per dive, subject to model, duration and booking. Includes an equipment briefing but not DPV training or certification. A checkout dive may be required.

Drysuit rental

To prepare a suitable drysuit we need height, weight, chest, waist and hip measurements, shoe size, preferred undergarment thickness and previous drysuit experience. Fit cannot be guaranteed from height and weight alone; final adjustments are done after arrival. Appropriate drysuit training (or a separately booked orientation/course) is required.

Bring yourself

Even with a complete setup, bring personal items where fit and familiarity matter: mask, dive computer, base layers, hood and gloves, DSMB and reel, cutting device, prescription equipment, certification cards, chargers and batteries. Tell us if you cannot bring these and we will confirm availability.
