Apeks XTX40 – second stage, with heat exchanger

The XTX 40 is Apeks’ mid-range second stage – built to give reliable and comfortable breathing in cold water without compromising on performance. It is a natural choice whether you dive the Trondheimsfjord, along the Norwegian coast or anywhere else where the temperature makes demands on your equipment.

• Pneumatically balanced: Smooth, easy breathing throughout the dive, regardless of depth and cylinder pressure.
• Patented heat exchanger: Surrounds the valve mechanism and counters the cold from gas expansion by drawing heat from the surrounding water – particularly effective in cold Norwegian water.
• Two-stage purge: Press the side for low flow (for example when filling a lift bag), press the centre for full purge effect.
• Adjustable resistance knob: Easy to grip, gives full control over breathing resistance during the dive.
• Antibacterial protection: All moulded parts are produced with an additive active against MRSA, E. coli, bacteria, fungi, viruses, mould and algae.
• Comfo-bite™ mouthpiece and silicone exhaust valve: Contribute to better breathing performance and reduced jaw fatigue on longer dives.
