Description

1. PERSONALISATION: The battery pack canister can be customised. Maximum engraving length 85 mm, height 20 mm.
2. BATTERY PACK WITH UN38.3 CERTIFICATION: The 13.8 Ah battery pack is built from carefully selected Li-Ion cells made by Panasonic, assembled in a 3S configuration, giving power supply compatibility with light and heating systems in drysuits. It is fitted with a safety device protecting it against overcharging, deep discharge, overload and short circuit. It delivers a current load of up to 20 A. The 13.8 Ah Li-Ion battery pack holds the UN38.3 certificate, which describes the pack as safe for transport.
3. DELRIN®: (POM-C) is a plastic characterised by top durability, hardness and stiffness. Because of its very low water absorption and high chemical resistance, it is perfect for a wide range of applications in a water environment. There is one colour option: black.
4. BATTERY PACK PROTECTION: The fully enclosed battery pack is protected against accidental flooding by an internal additional lid with banana connectors. It is possible to protect the pack against being switched on accidentally during transport by rotating the canister lid 180 degrees and placing the banana connectors in the blind openings.
5. CLASSIC OR PIEZO SWITCH: Two types of switch to choose between: a classic switch or a piezoelectric push button. The CLASSIC toggle switch is characterised by a familiar switch state (ON-OFF) indicated by the direction of the toggle. The hermetic toggle switch cover is made of highly durable silicone, with an additional internal seal that gives greater protection. Particularly recommended for use with heating systems. The compact PIEZO push button switch has high resistance to mechanical damage and a long service life. Quick and easy to operate, even with thick gloves.
6. METAL CABLE GLAND: A nickel-plated brass cable gland with a stainless steel bend protector gives a proper seal of the cable inside the canister lid. It delivers top performance in terms of mechanical durability and protects the cable from breaking at the clamping point.
7. LOCKING SYSTEM: A clamp system with an interlock prevents the battery pack canister from opening accidentally. Because clamps are used, any user can replace the canister lid depending on the configuration wanted, BACKMOUNT or SIDEMOUNT. The clamp system also makes it possible to replace the lower part of the canister with a Li-Ion battery pack of 13.8 Ah or 24.15 Ah capacity. That is a useful option if there is no opportunity to charge the battery pack between dives, or if a battery pack giving a longer run time is needed.
8. FLEXIBLE E/O CABLE: Cables for use in an underwater environment with high mechanical strength. Extremely resistant to breakage, they retain their flexibility across a wide temperature range. It allows safe cable disconnection underwater with the power switched off (main switch in the OFF position). Using the E/O cable, the battery pack canister can be used to supply power to heating systems or to connect to any lighting system. The factory length of the E/O cable is 40 cm, or as required by the customer.
